For the V10 motor in order to achieve the same speed as the LRP I had to increase boost to 30 and turbo timing to 30. Even after adjusting the ESC the punch was still weak compared to the LRP.
what position of end bell? LRP is a 27.5º minimum.

Did you know that the LRP motors start at 27.8 degree end bell timing as its zero and jumps by 4 degree for each sleeve inserted? The hobbywing v10 is at 5 degree start .

No idea what track you are running on, but 20 boost and 20 turbo on the LRP motor is absolutely stupid and will be pretty much undriveable I ran 0 boost and 7 Turbo and it was still crazy fast. Other motors usually around 15 for both..

Yes I know... V10 I cranked the turbo and timing up to 30 and motor timing to 50 max to see how it would perform just for the hell of it. On the long straight the top speed was there but still did not feel as punchy compared to the LRP. To reach top speed it also took a tad longer due to being a bit laggy even after increasing punch from 10 to 20. A few guys on our track also run V10 and LRP and they all agree the LRP has more torque.

20 turbo and timing is normal at our track. My LRP motor I do not mess with timing I leave it at factory setting.
I am not here to start a war or to say the V10 is not good maybe my settings are incorrect I am not sure... or maybe motor is new I dont know ... just giving you my personal opinion from my experience.
This is the track I run on...1/8 nitro also run on same track.

Schumacher website has them listed but out of stock so may be worth giving them a call to see when they are expecting them

I was told their manufacturing facility/ tooling was being updated for the V10 motor line but I wasn't given a date for this project to be completed.

Last time I asked I was told they were due in march. That was a couple of weeks ago, so there's always chance it could change one way or the other. I'm waiting for mods!

Would this mean the current ones that I see are dated?

There are tons for sale here in Shanghai.
