Also there`s the Xpress Mini..carbon fibre chassis, belt drive 4wd, it`s an awesome car . A club member has one & has to race it in with the 540`s because it too fast for the Tamiya MO3`s.(due to being able to easily change the gear ratios).
I know RC Mart is just started to re-stock them,BUT don`t know about the availability anywhere else.

All 210mm wheelbase bodies will fit the Yokomo and the Xray, but with the Mini Cooper you won't be able to fit TC rims, whellwells are a lot smaller, you can cut the body to make them fit but you will loose scale realism.
ABC will release their own mini TC (shaft driven and 6cells)
Here is a pic of my very special Mini RS4!

Mr Pink I have a used Tamiya M03 I need to sell.
BTW the Tamiya and the HPI are not 1/12th scale, they are 1/10th. A mini is just smaller therefor the model is smaller.

If she is a new driver, go with the Tamiya MO3L Mini Cooper.
Add a bearing set, oil filled plastic shocks, and the aluminum steering knuckles.
That makes the car pretty indestructable, she will have fun bashing it and you wont have to spend your time wrenching on it. Runs about 25 mins on a 3300 stick pack, zero maint motor to boot.
Plus you can also enter it in the Tamiya series.
