Want to learn more about On Road Cars

Hey everyone. Ive got a Rustler VXL stadium truck that i have had for some time. Just messing around doing a bit of bashing and driving. My problem with it is that its pretty out of control for a stadium truck and im thinking i would like something with more control. I was thinking of trying to get some type of on road electric rc. Maybe something that i can use for drifting.

So im looking for some advice, good cars to start with? or Kits vs building one myself? Im pretty competent when it comes to these things i just have no idea about on road cars and havent kept up with the scene in quite some time. Really any information here would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Something in the flavor of Tamiya or HPI would probably fit the bill

Sakura S, Spec R S1, Associated TC4, soon to be released Yokomo BD7 RS(not sure the cost of this one), will get er done at a sub 200.00 price. There are many used tourers (4wd)out there that you can find in the for sale section.

Any on road racing tracks close to you? Do you know any RC drifters around your area? If i were in your position find some drifters in your area and seek advise from them.

HPI Sprint if you're looking for another RTR...

^^^^sorry to burst your bubble. I would stay away from the hpi sprint 2. Not really in the same class as some of the chassis mentioned above.
