Why no TakeOff or RP tire ?
IFMAR used Take Off
Reedy Race used RP Tire

& also use low temp tire to race.

Hi There,

the ambient temperature for Malaysia is about 36 degrees celcius and the track temp can rise to as high as 50 degrees on a hot day. The use of low temp tires are not feasible for this matter.

Sorry Jeremy for jumping in on a question for u.

Cheers

Default No Limit

Hi Guo,

There is no IFMAR rule on the number of turns for motors - see rules - http://members.ozemail.com.au. Please do not confuse IFMAR World Championship Rules with any other Rules used by EFRA or ROAR - these Blocs have their own rules which may vary from IFMAR W.C. Rules.

As mentioned, under IFMAR TECHNICAL RULES - 4.3 MOTORS, BRUSHLESS MOTORS are allowed to be used. LRP/REEDY BRUSHLESS (2005) & NOVAK BRUSHLESS (2005).

Since Team Novak has decided to be a sponsor for this event. We do hope that LRP/Reedy could help us out as well.

before Thaliand TITC same is very hot & use low temp tire to race
IFMAR ISTC use CS27 same for low temp use tire
buy why choice low temp tire to race , i think need more level keep limited tire sets to race & racing can't contral to tire over heat !

Default Controlled Tires & Inserts

Hi HKRCMODEL,

Thanks for your enquiries.

It is advised that FEMCA countries use IFMAR World Championship Rules for FEMCA and internal events. See below for 6.6.1 A.

6.6 TYRES- 6.6.1 A controlled tyre (a tyre, together with a selection of one (1) of two (2) different densities of inserts or a pre-assembled combination of tyre, insert and rim decided by the IFMAR Electric Executive) must be used.

The manufacturer who was selected to supply the tyre and/or the two (2) inserts for the previous IFMAR ISTC World Championship event is not eligible to supply tyres and/or the two (2)inserts for the next IFMAR ISTC World Championship event.

CONTROLLED TYRES/INSERTS: 2005 FEMCA ISTC event is the first FEMCA ISTC event so controlled tyres are used in accordance to IFMAR W.C. Rules. We have to contact each tire manufacturer and make arrangement with them that if their Company's tires/inserts are chosen, will they be able to supply the necessary quantities to the event in December.

After every day's racing, each driver's tyres and inserts have to be placed in a separate box or bag which has his name printed on it and it is stored by the organiser overnight. The drivers cannot retain the tyres and inserts overnight.

All Tires/Inserts/Wheelsets will be returned to Drivers at the end of the event.

As we have posted, 2005 Pre-FEMCA ISTC Championship this August, are to follow the basic rules.

Default Heat Tips for Drivers

Just a tip for all competitors - Tire Tech Time - 3Ts

We did some heat test, a couple of weeks ago, that day was one of the hottest outing we had. Phew! Great summer holidays. However in December, should be cooler temp.

Time: 1:30 pm - Afternoon
Ambient temperature: 46.7
Track Temp: 48.5 ~ 56.7 C
Modified Motor Before Run: 29.0 C
Modified Motor after Run: 88.0 C
Battery - Fresh Charged : 45.0 C
Battery - After Run: 66.0 C
ESC - Before Run: 27.9 C
ESC - After Run: 47.5 C
Tires Temp- Before: 27.4 C
Tires Temp After: 42 C

TITC, RCS Track was around 28 ~ 32 ~ 35, very challenging track for Modified motors.
