The ORCA RX motors are ROAR legal. ORCA is awaiting the final approval from ROAR on the new TX series of motors. So once they are ROAR legal they should be OK for the IIC. If they do not make it on the list however they will not be legal for IIC.

It was my understanding, at least from years past, that motors and batteries had to be legalized by one of the international bodies for use at the IIC. Meaning, a motor could be BRCA or EFRA approved, but not ROAR approved, and still be legal at this event.

Is this still the case?

I ask because the ORCA TX 17.5 and 13.5 motors are on the BRCA motor list as being legal... and if this rule still stands, then it does not matter whether(well... when) ROAR approves this motor.

James,

Yes I knew Scotty had done that in the past simply for the large group of European guys that come sometimes have stuff that is not sold in the US. And since the BRCA and EFRA use the same rules as ROAR on the motors it's never been an issue. Scotty would have to post weather that is still the case or not though.

I just spoke with ROAR and they said the ORCA motors would be in the lab on Monday so I should have an answer by mid week or end of the week. But if they are already on the EFRA and BRCA List then there should be no issues at all. I wasnt aware they were on there already.

There has been some question regarding the handout motor. Once things are finalized either Scotty or I will post it here, Facebook and on the site as soon as we can. Thank you for understanding.

I registered but have not paid. Did not see any way to pay later after registering. Can I pay at the IIC during registeration?

It worked for me. I know that some had trouble early on.

Hmm weird, I just registered today and it worked just like that. may want to ping Kraig or someone else handling IIC to see what they think.

I registered online on the day registration opened and wanted to pay at a later date. I'm not sure but i thought I read I could pay at the IIC event also.

I didn't even see an option to pay at a later time, the only payment option was PayPal today.

Questions??

Scotty or Kraig,

Any update for those of us that signed up early and had issues with PayPal? Is the registration site going to be changed so we can pay later? Is there an address we can send checks to, or should we just wait and pay in Vegas?

How are signups looking? I need a couple more weeks to decide if I'm going this year, but don't want to miss registration because classes fill. Thinking 17.5 and 13.5 TC.
