Re: spec GT class

Can you use the optional Tamiya wing on a HPI body?

I was wondering when this question would come up.

Since the news broke I have not yet had the chance to talk to Scotty to get his decision. As soon as I do and a decision has been made either he or I will post on here and on Facebook.

CraigMBA, I need to get confirmation on that too.

This is my first time I'm going to the IIC and first time racing on carpet! I've asked about what tires to use, seems like black fronts and yellow rears are the ones to use.

Now, what bodies, work/popular, should I get for 12th 17.5?

I asked scotty about the D3.5 in an email. Here is what he wrote back:

"At this time the D3.5 will not be allowed. If things change with the court ruling then we will update that rule"

After-thought: I was just on another website and found the attached picture. I don't know if this will change what scotty originally told me.

Dont know why the question needs to be asked over and over.

Seems like that since it will be ROAR legal at the time of the race it will be allowed.

It's not a ROAR race. It is up to the promoters.

Go to the ROAR website and you will see exactly the same thing. Been posted for several days.

ROAR approved with a big ole *

*it wasn't ever legal and shouldn't be approved, but here's a hall pass till you sell through all your old inventory by no later than mid2014 where -poof- the approval turns back into a pumpkin.
