13.5T Electric motor best choice

Most of my experience comes from using off road 17.5's and having used both the Reedy and the Trinity--I prefer the Trinity motor.

Novak outlaw is easily identified, and was designed for clubs that allowed other outlaw motors(17.5 d3.5, etc) to race... Brilliant move from Novak !!! Others are not so clearly indentified: Roar caught them only after upgrading their equipment ! I run Novak Spec and keep my integrity...

I often wonder if some racers are not using the Red 12.5mm(tep1152) mod rotor in their spec 17.5t & 13.5t motors . No way to catch them then right ??? Trinity is amazing when it comes to not shooting straight ! I'll stick to the rules and the non cheat brands(Novak): Thank you very much !!!!!

Just bought the D3.5, hope it works well for my proposals.
Will maybe try later the Reedy.

Nice to know Adrian !!! Hopefully none of the racers will resort to these tactics...

13.5 motors
Now completely left field! what about ORCA and Hacker? or are they simply outclassed by TRINITY?
#22
How about new LRP X20 13.5t?

As noted the Trinity D3.5, Reedy Mach 2 and Thunder Power Z3R are the top motors. I really think the Trinity is a tick ahead of the other 2.
If you are running blinky be sure to get the Trinity D3.5 Maxilla version. It comes with the 12.5mm high torque rotor that has proven to be fastest.

You are correct!

I'm holding all such motor, but honestly the ones that a loke less is the LRP as its working temperature is too hight and after 2/3 minutes he loose top speed and torque, much better Thunder Power.
Ciao

Thread is back from the dead.
In my area, which has some wicked fast guys, you are off pace unless you run a D3.5 Maxzilla.
85mm RO and 10-20 deg timing depending on layout.
Novak? Hahaha. I tried for a few months to get a 13.5 Vulcan Spec w/HT rotor on pace.... No bueno.

Why is it a piece of garbage?
I have a 17.5 rpm w/ht rotor and just bought the same in 13.5.
They're good at my track, but truthfully it's about 75X40 and most motors very close because of the size. Sometimes a lot of speed can hurt you at my home carpet track. But horsham is a different beast. I've seen 17.5 motors smoke 13.5

+1 d3.5 for 13.5t blinky
