For use on a large track??.. 8.86 too much??

I need to pick up some 64p gears i think...

the best i could get without themaling is a 9.75.i kinda felt like i was overgeared.it kept pulling.the track temp was 150 degrees and i came off at 175.

9.5 is the lowest that I would go, the motor is stupid fast even when I had it geared at 10.73 it still was pulling at the end of the straight

Hi,
I have a new GTB with a 4.5 brushless system. After racing it twice, I quickly found that I have no brakes. So I first went into the settings of the ESC and added more brakes. Well after that, the car still didnt have more brakes. Now after putting the brake % up to the highest level, unfortunaly i dont have brakes still. I then tried adding more brakes through my radio and that didnt help. I have more brakes with drag brake than the normal braking. I NEED HELP!
Also with my ESC the setup is different. I have to turn on the ESC then hold down the set button, unlike the directions hold down set button then turn on power. The first light that comes on when i enter the setup mode, is the amber. Yet its supposed to be red.
Any help that you guys can help would be great.

Thanks,
Chris

I'm getting a lot of heat from my fellow racer's for running a 4300 in stock. So I have to switch back to brushed. I just want to know if I have to use the fan or if I can take it off ? Like I said I only race stock. Thanks in advance...

I was just messing with my T2 and 4.5R using a 8.4fdr and this thing is uncontrollably fast. I drove it around up and down my street and after 4 minutes it was still relatively cool (no body). Don't try this at home!

just be carefull.on a race day you wont get away with that kinda ratio.after 5 or 6 thermals i was told you need to change the rotor.the motor doesnt seem to slow down when you run a higher fdr,it just seems to run more efficient and not bogg it down.even at a 9.75 it seemed over geared.10.125 on the cyclone seems to be the sweet spot.

I ran the Novak 4.5 System today in my Xray T2.

The top speed and acceleration are definited on par with low wind brushed motors. My gearing was about 9.6.

-----

Charlie/Evicerator/...

What's more important to keep an extra fan on? The ESC or the Motor? Other then the stock fan on top of the ESC what would be more valuable to keeping the temp down...

Just trying to figure out where I should mount a 2nd fan point to.

I keep my gearing around the 10 fdr range and my esc temp is around 160 and the motor about 165 to 170

Thanks.

I was limited by the spur/pinions I had availabe otherwise I would have run closer to 10.

Does anyone have an answer to this...
