Damn, So I prolly bought the GTB system somewhat too soon then.

Allthough we still need to see what the price will be from the new Genius.

I see they plan on bringing out a 3.5T, isnt that a bit too much.... The 4.5T rips the track apart and I think puts a lot of stress on the complete drivetrain of the car. Not to imagine what a 3.5 will do!!!

The future will show us...

Quante,

I have tried Novak GTB with 5.5 motor in my RC12L4. It fits well and I never experienced any thermal shutdown even when you run it without any fan.

If you want to give it a try, make sure you have a receiver battery pack if you have spektrum receiver. My 1/12 shutdown when I slam the throttle on straight line.

Just read on Reedy thread, 3.5R BL motor? Is it Novak? 4.5R is very fast already, 3.5R must be insane..

Any more photo or info?

I guess Novak has been experimenting with one for a while. I can't imagine how fast a 3.5 would be. Seems unlikely that any current brushed motor could compete with it in terms of raw speed. Whether or not anybody can control it is the big question.

Yep i'm in Melbourne...

Hobbyshop wise... lets see.
There's Hobby place on Lonsdale street(I think this is the one you're referring to? - opposite Myer. Where Melbourne central is.)
Hearns hobbies - elizabeth and flinders
Metro Hobbies - Station st. Boxhill
Fantom - in the 'burbs somewhere
Victorian hobby something or rather - no rc so doens't rate a mention

Hobby place is terrible. No service, No support, Horrible prices, Rude staff, COnsistently the worse hobby shop in history. Metro is THE shop.

I don't really get out and race all that much. But i do visit templestowe every now and then... the new(or OLD) track out at Hoppers crossing is fun. BIG and very very fast...
