Well I ran my 4.5 today for the first time and was geared at 9.81 FDR and the car had alot of speed but I had to let off the throttle 3/4 of the straight and the car just wanted to keep accelerating ,The motor came off the track at 120 degrees.Very fast ,even after lighting all four tires half way down the straightaway.

What's it comparable to in brushed motor terms? In your testing - 7t? 8t?

not sure ,I was the only electric car on the track at the time but I lapped a few nitro cars I spoke with Fernando at the snowbirds and he said that it was like a 7t.Before I had to gear the 5.5 to keep up with the 7t and it caused it to shut down from the heat, but the 4.5 seemed to accelerate alot harder than the 5.5

Ha!.... thanks for the price marcos.J

If only that were the price. (Correct me if i'm wrong someone..), But it seems that if it's a part destined for Australia, the markup will just about add another 50% to the price at least...

Can anyone in Aus give me a heads up?

Thanks Marcos.J

I should explain, the reason i'm trying to find out is that i do want to support my LHS... I usually get my kit from HK mail-order and the prices are very good. But if the Australian distributor isn't putting a terrible mark-up on it then i'll buy it locally.

I do feel a little bad when almost my entire gear has been bought overseas...

thanks for the offer though... very generous of you..
