Here's the recommendations from Novak. I would start with what they recommend with the sintered rotor.

But i would like to know a ballpark figure for FDR for the 13.5 GTB setup for a tightish track....i know i must fine tune FDR from motor temp, but a starting piont is what im after........
CHEERS for any help
i'm not sure about FDR, i work with rollout, stock 27t i used 26mm (small) to 33mm (large track) rollout.

so for the 13.5 i would start with 30mm rollout.

The motor really only has a small sweetspot.

I would go for a higher FDR than a lower one to start off with.

At a recent large event there were people running from 26-38mm rollout on the same track. The fastest guys were running about 28mm and the track was fairly open, Mod was running 18-22 with 4.5's

I'm geared at a 4.68 FDR with my 13.5 at the two tracks I run at (one huge, one fairly tight) down the back straight i've got just a little bit less motor than the fast guys, but more than alot of the other "middle of the pack guys".

Can someone from novak give me a little help on a starting roll out for S&N Trackside for 13.5 running on foam tires.... And is the 17.5 if run with 6 cells equal to running 6 cell stock motor ?

Just wondering cause i would like to have the same type of speed but use the 17.5 for practice and ease of not having to mess around with motors while practicing and then go to a race where brushless isnt allowed yet and not feel much of a change in speed and power.

If the 17.5 is very close to 27t stock motor,,, what would be a good rollout to start with at Trackside as well.

43-45mm roll out is what I ran yesterday and also one of the foam cars was running a very similar rollout

OOOO YERRR
Had my first run on the new 13.5 SS on the weekend, yes i like,,
I ran a FDR 5.6, cause that was the highest gears i could muster up at short notice, and our track is quite tight and short...at race end had a temp of about 110-115f
looking to get about 4.8 FDR for next weekend and see how that goes,,,but she some punch out of the corners over the standard brushed, but i can see someone who knows what they doing with a brushed is still compative...

Hey guys im getting REALLY PO'ED about now

I bought a novak 13.5 and the novak black heaat sink sleeve and it wont go on, so I got a heat gun and i got it like 1-2 mm from all on, and I tried to but the end bell on and screw press it and the screws get on and the screws go on and about 3-4mm it just stops and spins like its stripped....

So all togather this stinks, and im getting mad and frustrated, and worried that it may be broken or something

I can even get the heat sink slave off to put it back to normal

This is the 13.5 with a sintered rotor and the finned can, so the new model

PLEASE help anyone?
