I was reading that the new GTB has some lipo cutoff feature. I have not purchased a lipo pack yet, but plan on to. Is there anything I need for my regular GTB in order to run a lipo pack?

No, just remember to pull your car off the track as soon as you see the car slow.

I do believe Novak makes a seperate kill switch too that won't allow you to run the pack past a certain voltage. You may want to look into that

hey guys, any of you run the GTB 6.5R on the T4 truck? Is there a special setting for the profile...like min drive, brake, etc... that I should set it at?

The new Novak GTB Spread Spectrum optimized controllers are for use with spread spectrum radios only.

will fit , but your car will be undrivable and your plastic shaft will bend as a elastic rubber band everytime you full throtle ( or even not full ..)

even if you replace the drive shaft by the alu one, i dont think you can make the car take turns right, TT01 are not very adjustable and you need to adjust when running as fast as the 3.5 can run

so theres no way of it being possible, for instance upgrading the spur and pinion gears? i currently have a 12 turn motor in there and it seems to go quite well but how much faster is the 3.5r?

which 12 turn??? anyway, a 12t brushed motor have a range between 8 and 6 , that you can accomplish with the TT01.... and the tt01 can only use spurs from tamiya, due its shaft... the so called "sweet spot" for the 3.5r is around 10.8, the tt01 cannot make less than 8.35 (the ratio range is 5.72 - 8.35)... nevertheless, if you try 5-cell, perhaps and 8.35 is a good call... with 6-cell I think you shouldn't... unless you want to fry something....

but that's my opinion, you're free to try....
