I'm not 100% convinced that this type of discharger will alter the cells that much.

You should bring them down to .90 per cell at a high amp rate 30/35 amps and then leave them alone until the next time you use them. Just before charging them place on a resistor try until the lights go out which should only take 1 minute or so then start charging the pack. For long time storage 2-3 weeks or more put 500 seconds of charge back into the packs.

I'm doing that for a few months Danny and the results are very very good. Don't mess around with other settings or deadshortening them.
The first discharge I do with a Spintec and the equalizing I do with the NOVAK tray.

Lets add ThunderRC to that list of on-line dealers. They are selling some great packs at a very good price. Check them out!

Will alter the cells????

If you use a spintec or dynapulse, your saying it will greatly lower IR and increase Voltage?

I'm sure these devices work well but I don't think that they will improve the packs voltage and IR it may maintain it.

Danny what is your thought of taking the IB3800 after a run down with a Trinity Real time discharger then on the Orion discharge board. Verses a Integy 030.

It's impossible for me to know what all the different combinations do. After your run you should only discharge down to .90 volts per cell at a high amp rate 30/35 amps. Before you use it again place it on a resistor tray for a 1-2 minutes. The reson why I prefer the 0-30 tray is because your sure to get a good contact and it discharges really fast so 1 minute is enough. After it was on the tray start charging.

Just thought i'd pass this along. So far-I have found the best peak detect on the CE Pitbull X3 to be 0.024 and on the CET35GFX 0.02. Those settings seem to peak the pack in the high 120 range.

When i use my Orion Advantage-I use a 0.03, but I safeguard it with a 42 temperature cut-off. I have found 80% of the time it peaks on peak-not temperature.

These settings being for stock sedan and stock 12th.

Ray
