Oh yes, I also use the long lock out so the pack doesn't false peak. Charges flawlessly every time.

Default using a fan/heat sink on cells while Charging?

Danny - Assuming inside conditions (i.e., 75 degrees F), but charging a dead-shorted battery for stock sedan at 9 amps, what is your perspective re: using a heat sink or a small fan on the cells while charging?

Using a fan or heatsink will change the way the pack charges and should not be be good for the pack. If you want to use 9 amps use a low peak detect and it should be fine.

Does anyone know if these cells will be legal for the Indoor Champs?

Thanks,
Kris

Kris - Yes. 3300s, 3700s, and 3800s are all legal for the Champs this year. Remember who sponsors the Indoor Champs. There is no way Trinity would be sponsoring the Champs and not allow its' line of Epic 3800 a.k.a. IB3800 to compete.

Im sorry if this is question has already been answered, but i would take 2 days to read the entire thread

How do the IB3800 respond to temperature? IB3600 were suposed to be used very hot. What about the new cells? How much time (if any) should you left them between end of charge and racing? Should i repeak them?

Thx in advance

You can visit our website for some tips on the IB3800 and newer IB3600. As with any cell for maximum performance try to time your charge to finish as close to your run as possible. If the pack has sat around for 5 minutes or more you can repeak until the voltage stops climbing.

IB's are just getting better and better too. Just small tweaks I hear-but so far all in the right direction.

NO doubt the cells have the runtime of a mod pack and the voltage of a stock pack all in one.

I just bought two more SMC 3800's. I'll report on how they run if I get a chance to run them this weekend. I'll also be buying some EA Motorsports IB's soon too.
