It might be cheaper, but what happens to the Team and RTR parts??? We need the existing molds to keep those cars going. So it would be EITHER a new diff housing mold or a small shock tower mount.

Stop being so on guard against anyone that might critisise ae. I've already said I think the FT looks like a good and obvious step in the right direction I will probably get the upgrade kit myself if it doesn't cost the earth.

As far as I'm concerned no kit is perfect and I could just as easily be picking holes in an xray or a hpi. But I have a particular fondness of the tc3/tc4 so I want all the problems sorted.

ditto
no you didnt say that it was a heavy car just that this part was heavy or that part was heavy or another part was heavy...to me that adds up to a heavy car right??you should go work for associated as obviouly you are an engineering stud...

it's all good, have fun with the car

That's his job

With regards to the shock mount, from my understanding of plastics molding I would have thought there would have only been a small difference between altering the existing gearbox half design and producing a mold than designing a whole new piece and and making a mold as well.
But looks like I was wrong, I guess you guys looked hard at the numbers and decided against it for cost reasons.
I know that it can cost many thousands of $ to design and cnc machine a single injection mould. But when you consider this car is going to be sold in it's thousands for many years to come it doesn't work out such a bad investment. Especialy when you consider it will be a reduction of 2 molded parts and 10 screws, it might even make the mass production price cheaper.

I do have fun. If you're going to be ignorant of someones comments and just try to cast them aside, don't read them in the first place.

All my overweight comments were base on the exisiting kit, eg the one I own. Did you think I already had a FTTC4???

Feel free to patronise me all you like. At least I don't go around claiming to be the greatest driver who was sponser etc. I called you a noob in jest but I guess you took it to heart so I'm sorry for that.

"Bring in the clowns" is an old broadway show tune. It doesn't mean I was directly calling anyone a clown.

I do however voice my opinion rather loudly and don't really take myself as seriously as others here do.

...and the TC4 is FAR from the only car I own...I simply see the car differently than most people here who are:

A. NEW and equate un-necessary "bling" with a cars ability to be "fast."

B. Bandwagoners that criticize products just because they're not the flavor of the month.

C. Brainwashed CONSUMERS who think that anything older than one calender year is "old" and therefore "slow."

As far as the intelligence thing, as soon as I see someone who can spell and use proper punctuation on a regular basis I'll address it.

Well I'm perfectly chilled on the matter. But anyone that says a tc4 is light enough, is going to get an axe in the side of their head!!
