I haven't heard of that movie at all. Is it a lower budget movie?

http://www.fastermovie.com/ Watch the trailer. Good stuff! It's from the 2002 MotoGP season, so why Rossi, Biaggi and Capirossi are not in their current livery.

It's looks cool. They run 500cc? This is a different class than the 600's and Liter's?

In the past, the premier class was 500cc 2 strokes. In 2002, they allowed 500cc 2 strokes and up to 990cc 4 strokes. As of last year, the 2 strokes were outlawed in the premier class. Since this movie covers the 2002 MotoGP season, some guys are still on 2 strokes. MotoGP doesn't race road bikes. They are all "race bikes." You have 125cc, 250cc (both 2 stroke) and 990cc 4 stroke in the premier class. World SBK series races road bikes. Superbike are all literbikes. Supersport are all 600's with a couple 750 twins mixed in. The Supersport class is the more exciting of the two, imo.

I'm starting to watch more and more the AMA Superbike series. Not so much the supersport.

I haven't kept up with the AMA in th elast couple years. Since I only have a 120GB disk in my Tivo, I had to cancel some of my season passes! I only watch ALMS, F1, MotoGP, WSBK,, CART and WRC. Woohoo! 24 Heures du Mans next weekend! I'll be watching every minute of it! MotoGP tomorrow too.

Has anyone experimented with cutting holes in the body to improve airflow around the motor, if so did it help?

Also where could I cut the holes and still be TCS legal?

Are the use of cooling fans and clip on heatsinks permmited by TCS rules?

Thanks,
Mark

Cutting holes in the body is not TCS legal. The use of fans and heatsinks isn't specified in the rules, so some people use them.

Oh well I guess I will just have to stick with my heatsink and fan.

Actually for '04 Tamiya is allowing the F201's chassis to be drilled for cooling purposes, but the rule is a little vague, it states "Cutting of the chassis for weight savings is not allowed. However, due to the high heat generated in the motor area, holes may be drilled for heat dissipation around the plastic that encases the motor. Holes may also be drilled to access the tight confines of the electronics wiring. "

I for one would like to get some clarification as to what entails "the plastic that encases the motor".

The plastic directly below the motor on the main chassis bottom. You can cut holes in the upper chassis next to the motor for better access of wiring to the motor.
