G, how did you like that Epic stocker? Fast huh? Did you use the stock gearing ratio? How hot did the motor come off at the end of the run?

Hey Neil,
The Epic stocker is good, but the motor got extremely hot with the stock gear ratio. What I noticed is that after 5 laps, the motor gets hot and there's a noticable performance drop. The low end drops but the mid and hi is still there. But this was a Epic stocker straight from the box with no tuning to it or any brush and spring combo changes.

I won't run the Epic stock in the F201 stock chassis. It will increase the frequency of buying a new chassis. I think the monster would be the limit in that car.

Thanks Nova, it was exciting driving it. The spectators enjoyed the show also. It was difficult trying to pass Tony for first considering he kept tight lines and closed the door everytime I came up on him, but he left just enough room for me to squeeze by at the kink.

Izzy, I would be interested in a DVD. When do you think you will have one available?

Hi Ritchie

I'm going for sure. There are some who are debating going. It isn't that bad of a drive from socal. Ted H (new F201 guy) will be going with me. Who is coming down from WA?

don't know who all is gonna go, i'm going to try and talk a few into going. i grew up in fremont so i have family and friends within minutes of that store so other than a plane ticket its free room and board for me. i'd like to have my brother video tape a race for me before i go down to have some idea of how the track conditions are.

Arrow 2004--2nd and 4th Tuesdays--SoCal

Happy 2004 to all F1 fans!

Reminder that the plan is to have a F1 class regularly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month starting this month--January, 2004!

The raceway is very open to this, and we need only 4-5 racers to make the class. I plan to be there each time (barring illness, etc.), Dennis Lyman is a regular there, Neil has expressed interest, and there are several others who are "gearing up" to join us in F1.

This is a way for all of us to continue our F1 racing year-round, and doesn't interfere with F1RL or TCS in any way. I believe we will attract others when they see these cars running, and this class could grow.

See you at SoCal on the 13th of January...I even have a new paint scheme on a Williams body ready to hit the track---look for the Duracell car!
