Default F201 High Speed

Has anyone tried a High Speed gear setup with the green machine stock? would that be too much for the motor?

Not only that, the plastic will melt and deform. Happened to me on a hot sat before the 2nd tcs regional. I had to buy another chassis to replace the warped one.

It sucks that I can only have 2 choices of gearing. Maybe its time to do some milling on this motor mount or maybe a 3 racing motor mount....Steeeeve!

Does anyone know how much gear change we can have with the 3 racing adjustable motor mount?

I have the 3racing chassis. With the stock spurs and pinions, I am able to combine them. One exception, the smaller spur and the smaller pinion don't mesh, even with the motor at its closest position. If you go with the 3racing spur adapter, you are able to go to a different pitch spur to better fine tune the gearing.

Yeah, I'd like to know too. I tried to take out slop with o-rings and such and ended up geting plenty of tweak instead. Wen't back to slopsville and all was much better. Car still doesn't track straight for nothin' I'm going to take Rod's advice and go with a single servo horn and ditch the servo saver.

O-rings, on the ball nuts. Takes out the slop, no binding.

F1RL guys,

This is just been confirmed, Charlie Suangka (Tamiya TRF and Novak driver), winner of the 1st F1RL Series, will be returning to defend his title in the Pro class. This should be a great 2nd season
