Since it's currently an exhibition class, the rules are pretty loose, but the idea is to try to create a level playing field. There is at least one guy running a Speed Gem 19T, but he has his timing set at 24 degrees. Next year, it should be an official class and you will be subject to tech at that point. Until then, bring it out and have a good time! 19T 24 degree modified with bearings are allowed. The cool thing is that many clubs are adopting the 19T spec motor rule for this class, so we could see larger regional or national races running the class since it would be relatively easy to agree on the rules with everyone running similar motors.

I've always been a fan of spec classes. Especially the 19t for f201's. The power band of that wind works great with the stock gearing.

I've currently got the stock pistons with 80/front & 100/rear, yet they still feel soft. I figure with this car you're only looking at about 1/4" of susp. travel and the initial shock compression leaves no time for the oil to "load" up. What oils would you suggest to help me out?? thanks--Al

A lot of guys say that 3000 weight diff oil works well. That would be 300 weight if it were shock oil. That's what Cam is running. I'd kick down for the Square (brand) shock shaft sets. They are a great hopup for the car if you aren't racing TCS.

Dragon Slayer- Nice video! Any more?

psycho- 3000 might be good. Let us know how good it works.

19 turn spec looks like the wave of the future. Lets get it off to a good start by using it exlusively in our F201.

MYXTYPLYX

I'm running the Square (brand) pistons, so 80 weight works well. 3000 weight is for the stock pistons since they let more oil through and you can't get enough dampening with light oil.

hehe! I got my new motor. Now, on to the dyno with it...

Hello F201 Fans,

Have any of you noticed the new High Performance F201 kit w/original body listed at Tower Hobbies? Has anyone seen this kit in thier LHS?

I was waiting to purchase the F201 untill this kit came out because of the two bodies and the supposed lower price of 3000yen/$20-25US. (Shizuoka Hobby Show New Items Release)
Insted, the kit is being sold for $20 more than the original kit.
Oh well, I guess I waited for nothing. Time for me to place my order with my LHS for the Ferrari kit!

Late,
Brad "Masato" Murata
