Nice! Good luck Andy. I hope there's a racing class for F201 in your area. They are really fun to race. A good resource for info in the car is www.formula1-rc.com There is a lot of setup info and general info about the car and they also have decals for most of the current F1 teams in case Ferrari and Williams aren't your favorite teams.

Definitely get a set of better tires. I wouldn't even bother gluing up the kit tires. They don't have much grip and they wear extremely fast. Pit Shimizu, Ride and Tamiya make racing tires for the car.

wrxmy99,

Congrats on your purchase, F201s are a lot of fun

Another brand of tires are Square "Michelin" tires, offered in firm and soft, and they do have the "Michelin" logo on the side wall fo the tire, pretty cool

You can also check out our website for resource of your F201 parts

Thanks all!

My club is trying to form a class. We currently have 3 F201s but a couple more are on the way. C'MON Northsiders!

Steve, do you accept orders from and ship to Australia?

RCInfinity, Sydney is FREEZING at the moment. Polar air is blowing up from the South making it about 60F during the day and 40-45F at nite!

Cheers

A

Default Transponder mounting

Any ideas how to mount a "temporary" AMB transponder on a F201? Club owned with the pin and washer mount system, not the personal type.

Cheers

Remember when you were cutting out the body for your car and saw that rectangular part that looked like you were supposed to cut it out, but you couldn't figure out what it was? That's the transponder mount. You're supposed to bend it into an L shape and servo tape it to the brace that covers over the motor.

I bought and built it for one race! I wanted to try out the whole tcs event...I had a good time nearly tq by .01,,got taken out in the main,,but still had a good time.

I just do not have time/cash to run too many classes and approaching carpet season in the northeast and I need to free up some cash.

The car is fun but in my area the class is pretty dead.
