Great looking MP4/13 you have there! You seem to have dremeled away a fair amount of chassis, do you notice any more flex? What motor are you running? Very nice paint and decal work.

When will you sring the secret abuot the new car and company? So many questions please excuse me.

Thanks.. running the Chameleon 19T with the Tech Racing adjustable motor mounts. And it does require alot of dremeling to get the motor mount to fit...as fars as flex..a little bit more do to having no motor brace. As soon as I get the Cross graphite chassis...that should take care of any flex in the car.

Don't know much about the new car...heard it from a friend who is in contact with a Team driver...still under development and strictly confidential...

Man these cars are great and a lot of fun..... we had just enough to get a class going this weekend..... hopefully we'll get enough cars out in the future for even more open wheel racing.....

Default Tires for carpet racing

Has anyone tried using the Pits for carpet racing? If so, how was it and which types did you find worked best? Any feedback would be gratefully received. Cheers.

Hey, I know the electrics bay is small on the F201. Could somebody give me a measurement so I can see if my old esc and an xxl could fit?

You guys have got me all amped up to get one now.

I don't have an exact measurement, but I can give you an estimate. An XXL and a GM V4 will fit perfectly with a little space to spare. That's what I have in mine. I think it's around 2.5 inches wide by around 1.5 inches deep and about .75 inches high. That is just an estimate, though.

Hi Guys,

I personally run a Keyence Zero V Extreme in my F201 and with a regular blue air tronics M8 receiver, the two can fit in the electronics compartment of the F201 perfectly with still about 1/4 inch between each other. The wire soldering tabs on the Zero V is also easy to get to in this position. I'll see if I can post a picture

I run a GM ASP inside of the electronics bay and keep the XXL receiver on top of the car chassis right above the drive shaft under the driver. It is servo taped to the plastic upright below the air intake.I don't like to run high current near receivers.

There are only two bodies made for the F201. The Ferrari F2001 clear body and the painted carbon fiber looking one. I don't think using an F103 body would be legal on the F201, but I don't think this has specifically been addressed in the US. You could call Tamiya America to be sure.

There are two types of clear bodies made by Tamiya for the f201. The low-nose Ferrari body that comes with the kit, and the Type-A high-nose body that is sold separately. Speedtechrc had the type-A body listed on their site.
