I picked up up a rumer last weekend at the Tamiya Eurofinals that Tamiya will no longer be producing parts for (and thus cars) the F201
Mind you, ITS ONLY A RUMOR!

Anyone know if this is true?

I heard something like that over here, but that was referring to the F201 tuned kits only.

He got a Honda 600RR and goes canyon riding alot. Not sure if he's been to a track to open up the bike. I wouldn't be surprised though.

Wait a sec, does this mean I can again be hopful for a real follow-up to the F10X series and we might see another "real"F1 car from Tamiya ? Man, how sweet would an F104...reactive caster front end, triple pivot rear end with side shocks and all, being able to swap tires from left to right and not have to rebuild the diff, Saddle pack chassis...drool....

If the rumor is true that would just be my luck. Just when I had my F103 fully hoped up and ready for racing Tamiya droped that class. Now that I finally got my F201 hoped to race they alledgedly discontinue the car which would probably mean they will eliminate that class for the upcoming TCS series. If they do come out with a new f1 car I will have to act faster. I don't want to strike out and I am already have 2 strikes.

Hopefully it is only a rumor. I will be waiting on the edge of my seat for more info.

I doubt Tamiya would discontinue the F201. It is probably only the Williams Tuned edition that is scheduled to be discountinued and posibly replaced with a TRF version with maybe the rumored graphite chassis.

Graphite and TRF version what a great combination that would be. The only thing that would be even better would be a chasis that allows the use of side by side battery pack instead of a stick pack.
