Just about all of the major brands buy thier LiPo's from the same places.

Anything labeled as 6500mah or higher will be the newest cells. They are sold as 7200's but in reality they cycle out to 6500 to 7000mah so the R/C companies label them with more realistic capacities.

Trinity/Revtech, Reedy, Orion, EA Motorsports, Putnam Propulsion, SMC, Ohio Hobby Products (OHP)....you can't go wrong with any of them.

I run EA Motorsports Motors and Batteries. Eric Anderson (EA) is a straight shooter and is well known for selling top notch stuff.

That's too bad. I have had nothing but good experiences with SMC going WAAAY back.

Unless you are poor, it and SMC do not belong in the same sentence; neither does the word expensive.

I personally have had very good luck with Thunder Power batteries. They hold their punch for a long time during your run and you will not have any problems over their lifetime.

You would have to define what you mean when you say "Best Performance". If you're looking to get the best value for your buck then the Hobby King batteries are pretty darn good. I've never had an issue with them. The punch does bleed off fairly quickly, but if you're not at that level of driving it probably doesn't matter.

I would also recommend Reedy batteries, they're just as good as Thunder Power.

Best 2S lipo? I suppose it all depends on your definition.

The best value I've found to date are the hard case ZIPPY Flightmax 2S 4000mAh 25C packs sold by Hobbyking for less than $14 each.

I race 17.5 blinky sedan and use EAMotorsports 6500 pack. It is awesome. It has the same amount of punch from start to finish. Keep a high voltage all 6 min. Can't go wrong with EA's stuff.

Forget zippy, turnigy, gens ace. Those are budget batteries. For ultimate batteries with the most punch, ORCA Infinite lipos are the ones to get.
