Can I make a suggestion: why not make the 17.5 "blinky" just foam tire only. Drivers that have their cars dialed on foams will be at a competitive advantage over those with rubber tires. I have seen a few at my LHS carpet track test foams on their cars (we race on rubber tires) and they dropped their lap times by up to almost 2 seconds per lap over their rubber tire runs.

I think the idea is to allow racers the choice without foams as an option.

Jeff should be getting some of the New GQ foam tires in real soon. The first test on carpet have been excellent. Now we get to try the outdoor foams. My first test outdoors with these tires is not till the 21st.

Guys there has been some question to the tamiya box stock silver can class. Yes any tamiya hop up are legal, so is the new TRF101. If you want to run the 101 in the silver motor can, we don't see it as any advantage at that speed. Any of Tamiya's brushed ESC are legal for this class! You must run either Tamiya foam or rubber tires......

+1 and may as well be open esc too. giving a choice between foam and rubbers is a no brainer! why mess with rubber if you can have foam?
If your gonna allow foam the cars can handle much more power than a 17.5. AS it stands now i would only run one class no point in building two basically stock cars! 17.5 boosted is a REALLY fun spec, we did it for years here and they are lightning quick!

Hey Ross, I'll get a front wheel drive Tamiya mini if you want to try a stock mini class? Maybe something like only shocks and bearings as hop ups? I think we all laughed and smiled a bit more than usual when we ran about 10 in a heat... lotta fun man. let's have some good old school racing fun. :-)
