looks like a rebadged JR. JR are also releasing a rebadged ko helios with a spectrum system already part of the package.

when ko propo make a 2.4 ghz system with a reciever the size of the helios, spectrum will be dead. in the meantime....LONG LIVE THE KING!

Looks like a repackage XS3 Pro to me. Only obvious difference would be Spektrum internal as apposed to sythesized ones. Should make the XS3 owners happy that they can get a radio shaped just like what they have now. I almost wish I would have held out instead of sellin mine and getting an M8!! Just looked at the XS3 Pro, I guess the only thing that is the same is the color. Pretty reasonable price though $249.95.

There is no removable module. It has DSM built in.

Yeah it is nice but I just wish they would have used the newer JR radio.

Default Wating patiently

That is the thing..... I will wait... This is the wave of the future.. right now everyone has to have one just like they did the synthesized less than a year ago.......
It does look like the Older JRX3 with a silver finish.
I have the synthesized JR.... and now there are more channels then ever available to me... So I will wait.. let them refine the 2.4 equipment and the price of radios and recievers will come down...
In the mean time.. I will go with my JR

It looks like a JR XR3 or XR2. Looks like a great package too bad neither of these radios had many features to offer for adjustability.

I agree, it does look just like the JR.
However, for the price, this is a great investment for beginners and people trying to get rid of crystals.

I can see why they used a JR system as the basis for this new one, since Horizon owns JR and Spektrum. But I don't see why they used the older JR case. I used to have an older JR that used that case, and compared to the newer JR cases that have replaced that one, the ergonomics suck. The newer JR cases are a HUGE improvement over the older ones. Doesn't make sense to me. Maybe they're just trying to differentiate it from the current line of JR transmitters?

exactly-JR and Spektrum are both proprietary to Horizon, so why waste the time and money designing a new radio?
