Mopar, what's your current black carpet setup for touring?
I'm interested in possibly trying this car again.

Signed up for the wrong class, VTA only got 7 entries, top 3 were out of my league, was around 0.5 slower, had a race for 4th but ended up in 5th, car was easy to drive but was having a hard time keeping it consistently in the grove, overshooting corners on a technical track like this added lots of time, my fast lap was 12.288 but average 15 was 13.023, that's a lot of lost time
Should have signed up for 21.5 but didn't want to spend the extra $60

I think you can. But the amount of science done on these things is really pretty minimal. I wonder if we can get that college kid to try running different shocks on his dyno. :-) I expect, you'll see the same throughout.
I'll also note, that in the 90's pressurized shocks were "a thing" And getting full rebound was a design consideration.
... I wonder when we're gonna see "advanced" shock absorbers on r/c cars. The time has come...
