BRUSHLESS?

does the motor cooler have the same affect on brushless motors, or is there no point in cooling them like brushed motors?

Now that it is almost July, are these Much More motor coolers ready for shipment from them directly? Also, how much do they cost?

All I am going to say is...This cooler is a manditory...I used it for the KO Grand Prix....Worked awesome...Although it did give me too much confidence in the hand out motor and I over geared one tooth too many and was still able to finish the race in forth but would have been out after three minutes if it wasn't for the coolers...

Long live Handout motors that go POOF....LOL

What is the side effect of this product? What if the temperature is dropped too low and how will this affect the magnet in the motor?

I had my motor cooler on for nearly two hours before my heat and it got down to about 40*F...Unless your out at a night race in the winter, just keep an eye on it...also long as you don't let it get below 32*F you should be fine.... Besides the magnets are fine at cooler temps...

The only possible side effects would be that the motor gets too cold, which could cause the glue to get brittle and crack, which would loosen the magnets....or possibly get the magnet too cold, causing it to crack....or which is very unlikey, the brushes could get too cold and become brittle and break, which is very unlikely...

I have had motors down in the negative with coolers like these (I don't think its possible with this cooler, it was one I made myself)......and never had any of the three happen....so I doubt anyone would have something happen.

And yes, these should work for brushless motors....they still have magnets and such, so they can benefit from being cold.......

Got my motor cooler over the weekend from Victor's Hobbies. The motor cooler is awesome. My main purpose for the motor cooler was to save motors, I've been getting my motors really hot. I've re-geared, went to a more conservative setting on my VFS-1, and adjusted my driving style. So hopefully this will help.

It is without a doubt expensive!

Honestly even though my sponsor shop is a MR dealer, I'm equipped with full MR gear, majority of their items in my opinion are overpriced and hyped. Consider how much a little computer fan, heat sink, peltier and the motor clamp costs.... $100 is outrageous. But then once my shop gets them in, I'll be owning one.

$100 definately.... you can probably make one for less than $20.00
I guess you have to factor in the R&D, sponsorship, marketing, manufacturing, export tax , duty tax. LHS markup, distributor mark up etc etc.

lol, forget getting it man, 100 is to much for me, I think i'll just bring a portable ice box and put my motor in there... Or I might just get a regular fan, do you guys suggest getting one or are they not needed? Whats more important? Fan for the esc or motor?
