does this thing have reverse polarity protection? or will it go poof when i plug it in backwards ?

also, is there a replacement heatsink clip available? part no.? i got my cooler used and it was modified to fit a jrxs the lower parts of the clip were ground off. is there an effect on its cooling power with the smaller surface contact area with my motor (im using a yoke bd now )

do these things actually help?

I've just got an awesomatix and my motor temps have just gone up 20 degrees due to the lack of ventilation!! Would this unit help keep temps down?

Not a good idea on brushless motors as they create condensation in the motor!

Just stick a massive great fan on the car itself, you can save 20deg or more this way.
