Hi
Is there no spec on either the Much More fan or the one that radio shack had? normally there's a sticker on either side to give you an idea of the specifications, that way you can enquire about a sample possibly from one of the company links I gave you.
You know what the peltia unit does, so explain that to the companies and ask there advice on which fan they would advise to use, bearing in mind you are after a sample, so be shrude I was

i'll tear it apart again, the only thing I remember seeing the first time around was a much more sticker on the fan. but maybe if i take that sticker off i will find something under it or something else enscribed on the fan elsewhere

u know if you damage it, if it doesnt get hot on the top side anymore then its broken. if the peltier gets above around 50c then they fry themselves.

I tore it apart again, the only thing it says on the fan is Much More 12v DC
No other specs or part numbers

At least you know that much, what you need to do now is to find out the fastest speed fan and one that produces the most CFM (cubic feet per metre) It is genrally the angle of the fan blades that gives you the CFM
Hope this helps

The fan is 50 mm x 50 mm, which you will find out isn't the easiest fan size to find.

I did find a fan online at COFAN USA that was a 50mm x 50mm and it put out 17.1 CFM at 5500 RPM which seems to be almost double the output of the radio shack one. Bad part is no order info or price so I might call them tomorrow.

Most other CPU fans 50 x 50 mm that I found online are less than the radio shack one only putting out like 8-9 CFM

I'm about to buy one of these, and after reading almost the whole thread (probably should have read every page)... i have just one question.

would this MM unit work on the motor better if the sticker on the motor can is removed? (peel off the motor can sticker for better contact with the cooler device?

curious.

Thanks, James

Ryan Lee
If I just send the fan back will muchmore replace it?
I have replaced my fan with a less powerful one that seems to be doing the job for now but i really would like to have the original fan.
I dont wanna have the whole unit gone for too long so I just wanted to send back the fan.
