Now available in the Uk is the muchmore lit up pit board at a wopping 129 or $195.

While they look great, and the thought of it is good. When I saw a couple in action at the recent 1/12 national I didn't like them.

The problem is the high contrast making the car on top look like a silhouette. There's a reason we shine pit lights down on the car, not up from underneath.

But each to their own

Olly Jefferies & other drivers are using a second piece of glass on top to set their cars up on as the existing one isn't perfectly flat.

Pit light over the top as Skiddins says will be just fine (or if you're tight like me then just strain your eyes ha)

I have one of these shiny setup boards, it looks great and will add more light on the pit table
But when it's light up you should minimize the contrast and let a pit light shine on top of it, then it will give you the best light effect.
It isn't needed but it sure is a nice gadget on your pit table

They are just tracing light boards used by cartoonist, tattoo artist, etc. They can be found for cheaper if you look around. If you buy in bulk you can get them from Alibaba for really cheap

They are kinda cool but not sure how well they work...and are they worth the price..?

Here's mine, it's a bit bulky but it gets the job done.

They are great for marking painted bodies for the mount holes. I've been using an old lcd reflection panel for years now to get the same result.
