Questions?? Nano-Tech - Why only 2S2P?

Any reason why the nano-tech 2s batteries only come in 2s2p and not 2s1p?

To get the desired capacity and c its easier and cheaper to do on 2s2p. Once you get over 5500mah and over 50c it gets pretty pricy to stick with 2s1p.

I remember reading on one of these threads that all LiPos (no matter what brand) are actually produced from only 3 plants in China, and there are apparently regulations for the chemical makeup of higher capacity LiPos.

I think (and I could be 100% wrong) that one of those regulations requires batteries over a certain capacity (say 5000mah) to be 2s2p. So I think any battery over that limit, no matter who sells it, be it Turnigy or Gens Ace or Reedy or Team Epic, etc... has to be 2s2p.

I don't remember where I read that, but I don't think I could just make that up outta nowhere.

High end cells will be 2s1p and have much less internal resistance(more punch).2s2p configurations will have more solder connections and that will equate to higher internal resistance(less punch). I have noticed that 2s2p have more balance issues because of the increase in cell count.
