TRF101

The new front end looks like it will be 190mm.
Your other option is to run the standard F104 front end, which should be less than $20 in parts. It'll add a different feel to the car though, you may or may not like it.
What surface are you running it on? The TRF101W is notorious for having a much softer chassis than any of the other F1 that Tamiya has released in the past.

Thanks for the reply, yes I thought it looked narrower than the one on mine but not sure if it would bolt straight on...
Im running indoor on carpet but may run it outdoor on asphalt in the summer.

Actually on further inspection all the aluminium bulkheads and parts etc are the same as the 101W so all I would need is the carbon parts and the small plates that fit on the end of the wishbones which should be far cheaper to convert.

Super excited just picked up a Tamiya TRF101w !!! This is my first F1 I normally race off road but I always wanted one. Any tricks i should know about before the build ? this baby will probably be a shelf queen unless I move closer to an on road track. cant wait to get it built.

Ouch, might as well wait for the new TRF coming out in 3-4 months going by typical new Tamiya F1 release timeframe.

I know this has been touched on before but what bodies fit the TRF101W best..have cut out a streetjam body i have and fits ok but could be a bit wider in the very back to go over the side spring carbon bits but is there anything out there and prefer the older style of bodies and running the older style wings with foam 103 style foams that fits better?
Thanks.
Thanks.
