here's a good demonstration http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90dQlBmfV2I
Do the gyros from helicopter work with rc cars?? thanks.

The real question is if it will be faster than the gp. So far my t- bar car has been a couple of tenths faster at every other nw track.

I hope it is but I bet it won't be. There is so little difference between f104v2 and TRF101 fundamentally. IMO, TRF101 is just an eye candy.

Any one can answer the question from "merkyworks" above in regards to the cooling fan, do I need to put the fan for the esc or better place it at the motor...... OR just leave it, thank you.
If you gear between 2.75 and 3.0 with moderate timing the car should be quick and depending on motor and tire diameter the temps should be in the 130-150 range which is more than safe. At that point fans are an option

Hi Shadow, your word make me feel more agressive now, what about the Lipos, I only got one pc of 4200mah 45C for test purpose as shown in the attachment, any suggestion for better performance and matching with my esc and motor, of course longer time better, a long one or the short one... always greedy on the playing time. Thanks

Gyros are the same, whether they are sold for helicopters or cars. In fact the HPI D-Box is just a rebadged Futaba G190 heli gyro. Just be aware that lots of organisations do not allow gyros for racing.

My front ride height doesn't seem to be as bad as others. I'm at 5mm with the silver springs.

Speaking of production issues though, my kingpin mount doesn't seem to be threaded all the way through. This is the farthest I can get the screw in before it starts to strip.

A little OT here,
I have here a F104Wgp which I converted to 190 width and I love it! Im just waiting for the TRF 101 front end conversion kit so I can have the taste of 101 on my Wgp. I really love the rear suspension of my Wgp, simple effective and can survive some crashes. I also cut some parts of my top deck to have an easy access for my shorty

Raced my TRF101 today and I liked it a lot.
I made many bad moves but that was because the car's speed and handling gave me too much confidence. My f104v2 might not get any more run time.

I am driving the yellow car. (There were at least 3 other TRF's at the race today including Difuser's which TQ'd.)

Finally, I got all the wire done..... please comment. I'm also thinking of putting a gyro on it, where should I plug in the signal.

That's reassuring to know that you are running it on asphalt. I was worried that the TRF101 was designed specifically for carpet.

Could you share some pictures and details of your set up? I would like to know if you are using a full length battery or shorty. And where you placed your electronics to balance the weight.

I start my build tomorrow.
