New Tekin Gen 2 RS and RSX
#46
It's been the same speedo since 2008. What other product has been out that long and still competitive and don't charge for updates. That's right none. Trust me guys well worth the wait, it's a very good speedo. Great throttle feel and very smooth. Some things never change with al dente.

I will get a 1S RS when it comes out. My Hobbywing 1S is great but its just so freaking big.
Has Tekin address the start up lag during race starts? That's the biggest difference I feel between my RS Pro and my Hobbywings. If the driver in front of me has a Tekin I can pass him before the first corner almost 100% of the time. No matter the setting I try, new sensor cables, etc... the HW speedo starts up faster.
Note this is in 1/12 and WGT running 1s. Tekin with the newest Novak Booster/ HW with the built in booster.

I do have to ask.. seems like many of the listed features are minor improvements. could the "feel" of the esc not have been made better simply with different software on the existing RS?
I really dont have many complaints about my RS systems in my cars. in blinky i seem to have plenty of power available, though in boost, i find the midrange a little lacking. seems like the esc can dump in lots of amps, so is there going to be continued development to older rs systems as well as the new ones? will they run the same software downloadable? I guess hotwire software will require an update, and will it require updating all my legacy tekin hardware once updated?
ill only have one legacy rs as i just sold two so i could get one of these new ones.. which.. i hope show up on etailers before the outdoor season starts middle april.

Feel can be a hardware thing as well. When I did mini-z, we played around with the fets on the board a lot (they only use 4 and are easier to swap there than on a 1/10 esc ), some fets were punchy, some fets were smoother, some more power, etc.

I hope there will be an option whereini won't be needing my laptop in my pitbag.

It is better than 223. I've driven the RS/RSG2 back to back in the same car and it's a completely different ESC. The feel is amazing, very smooth and linear. Trust me guys, it's well worth it!
