i'm not sure what m/v you mean.

is that 6 per cell? or did you put 60 per pack? i'm confused.

i am using vtec 3700s (int 3700s) and currently using 8m/v per cell.

i am going to give that setup a try but need help on the m/v, because i'm confused

06=60mV for the entire pack...or 10mV per cell (6 cell). I would only recommend going this high if your charger has a temp cutoff. Otherwise, I would use 03 (30mV for the pack...5mV per cell) or so.

i am using the orion advantage...and yes it does have temp cutoff.

12m/v sounds crazy high....what temp do your batts get to when its cold?

12mv for the pack is fine, 12mv per cell is crazy +)

I use 30-36 mv per pack myself, on re-peak I use 10mv per pack

yes,
my packs will get around 120F (49C).
the temp cut-off will protect your pack not to get overcharged! on Step3.

Oh, in winter time when the temparature is cold -> always use the warming tray and heat it up to 26 to 28C at least before charging!

well, no point setting it to 12mv per cell, if your packs are triggering temp cutoff that low, you are probably getting nowhere near 12mv/cell anyways

Actually, this is very rational. The temperature cutoff is set for the same setting as it was in our typical profiles, therefore the battery would still only reach a maximum 48 deg. Celcius (118.4 deg Fahrenheit). The colder outside temperature allows you to safely put that much more charge into the battery without overheating the NiMH cell. At the same time, MMR offers a warming tray for colder temperature charging, and both a cooling fans and heatsink trays for warm temperature charging. These accessories allow you to put the best and most safe charge into your battery pack. These also allow you to train a battery pack with all the variables consistent. It is possible to charge your battery only with temperature cutoff settings, by setting a very high delta peak setting. This is the theory behind the 12mV cutoff for cold weather charging, because regardless of how many hundreths of a volt that the battery drops, you definitely want the battery to be warm when it peaks.

Do any of you remember seeing a certain pic of hara's pit area at some large event last year where hara had some mysterious tray that he placed his battery in during charge? This was a warming tray. You have to believe he was doing this for a reason .
