Sorry, but 8th on-road nitro is worth the dirt because of the noise, the smell of nitromethane, and SPEED. Don't get me wrong, I'm a 12th scale guy for life, but 8th On-Road is still the second coolest thing you can do with a radio.

Nitro TC's, much like the electric ones, are not cool IMHO.

I was all ready to like you for the "I miss boost" comment, but then you had to go dis TCs, Ian.

Foam tire classes suck! I'm just kidding. If it's RC, it's alright with me.

personally, I do find truing tires a chore I can do without though.

If all the promoters/tracks would stand behind ROAR and not allow the D3.5 we wouldnt have to worry about these outlaw motors. But until the D3.5 is outlawed this is something we will have to deal with. I know Murfdogg is coming out with an outlaw 17.5 also.

Yeah...well...

This is kind of the opposite of what happened with boosted. When all the manufacturers built boosted ESCs ROAR outlawed them for 17.5. Now that ROAR banned the D3.5 to make maintain a level playing field now manufactures are now going make outlaw motors...?

If the racing community embraces outlaw 17.5 we need our heads examined.

I guess there is a push to only limit the motor winding !

No big difference between the vulcan and ballistic high rpm motors. Just bigger cooling vents and 12.5mm rotor....

Maybe these motors meet RCRAA regulations?

Novak have straight up made a cheater stator. They might as well be putting 17.5 stickers on 10.5 stators. Once you are cheating, the degree you do it at is irrelevant. Cheating is cheating
Please explain how one "changes their method of measuring." The D3.5 IS illegal and always has been. I'm also curious why anyone believes anything that comes out of Trinity's mouth (or mouthpiece). Only in RC does anyone believe that a higher standard of precision is a bad thing. Well, only some people believe it, but that's another story.

I agree that an Outlaw spec motor is stupid. What if its too easy to change stators and the legal Novak motor is easily made into a cheater motor? It's unbelievable what these motor companies are doing to the market. It's ridiculous.

Orion had an outlaw Stock motor in the early 2000s. The purpose of such motors is obviously where tracks allow "any 17.5" but it doesn't help in the slightest. Makes it harder to get people to go to big meets because they don't have the right gear. Meanwhile everyone who does have ROAR legal equipment feels massively ripped off at their club meets with people running these things. At worst it can create ill feeling amongst club members.

Exclamation

Outlaw motors have been here since the brushed motor days, and are making a comeback with brushless motors.... This time it will be known(Novak), not secret(d3.5) !!! I know some hate the fact that their secret is out , but that's life !
Also, outlaw 17.5t blinky gives the clubs a new realistic name for what's really being run, instead of stock with a few secret (d3.5) cheaters that nobody can catch !!!

Outlaw classes save trinity, by the way, from never being trusted again in producing real spec motors....lol..... I'll side with honesty(novak) anytime.......

Two things highlighted that are not an attraction, and you can throw in foam tyres with that too, IMO. The third mind.... well, that's what Mod TC is for
