The thrust bearing will last longer as it handles the pressure better...but the bearing race that comes with the car will have better differential action.

It's becoming rather difficult to source some of the parts for the SP-1 now. I have some spares, but don't have a spare "football"
Looks as though I may need to retire my SP-1 due to this. A real shame, as I do love this car, won the F1 class at my club this weekend, beating a pair of Xray X1s

I am 99% sure the pivot ball/mount and side links share the same dimensions and are a direct replacement with Associated RC12R5 and Yokomo YRF/R12, I am sure I have lent one to a Speedpassion driver before.

part number YOKR12-21L or ASC4635

if you send me the hole distances I can check for you tonight to confirm 100%

The side links are certainly a direct replacement, I am currently using them as they are much better than the standard links.
As for the pivot ball/mount, well they don't fit (I just double checked with the one I have) the holes are too far apart

bummer, ill double check tonight the Yokomo one just to make sure its not the same as the Associated.

Are the holes too wide on the chassis or too wide on the pivot ball ??

you learn something new everyday, the associated pivot mount is 35mm between the middle of the outside holes and the Yokomo one is 32mm,

I just always assumed they were the same, so the million dollar question is what is the hole spacing on the speedpassion part ??

That's ok, as I said I was sure I have put one in a speedpassion car in the past,
The Aus importer has them in stock so should be easy enough to order in

Fantastic, I will have to get onto that then. Was the only part that generally can break that I couldn't source from something else. F104 front end would fix most of the other parts availability issues of course

Tamiya 51378 is the black version

It is confusing but the Pit rubber tires mount on the Tamiya Foam rims
