Sphere comp... but couldn't get a 4star (or 5star) so I got the 4.5r (novak). Bit of a risk since I haven't seen it perform well (at all actually) but from what I have been told about brushless problems it should be the best way to go.

Is there a replacement commutator for the NEO 3 star motor? I ran my today in a 12th scale race and ended up fliping several times. By the time I got back on my wheels, the car sounded like I had stripped my spur. What I found out when I got home to check the car out was that the Commutator or center stack had shifted tl where the shaft was no longer in the bottom bearing on the wiring side. I would hate to waste another $80 and change for a new motor. I have had this motor since October of last year. Some know anything??????

Hello ALL

Where could I get a LRP Vector 4star motor?

And how would it compare to the Neo One 4 Star?

Thank you

You can get them from most popular online shops or most probably through your local hobby shop as well
stormerhobbies.com has those

Lrp 4 star is exactly the same motor as Neo One 4star only with different stickers...

NEED HELP!

For some reason, my LRP runs in reserve.

I followed the wiring diagram for brushed motor. A + B to negative and C to positive. The motor would run in reverse when hooked up this way.

If I reverse the wires, put A+B to positive and C to negative, the motor would run foward, but that's exactly the opposite of what the manuel says.

Also when running with brushless motor, the motor would stop once in a while and it also run in reverse!

This all happeend after I accidentally hooked up the A wire to the C tab and C wire to the A tab on the brushless motor. Is my ESC blown already? It seems to run fine in brushed mode except that it runs in reverse.

NEED HELP!

Hey lookinco,
I have had the same problem b4....... so what you should do first is go and get your transmitter and flick thorugh it until it says throttle reverse or somethign similar and whatever it is on change it to the opposite.

If that doest work it could be your esc is hooked up the wrong way on your rx(reciever)

hope that helps

I have tried that and it doesn't work. I don't think it has anything to do with the transmitter.

It was working all fine until I accidentally hooked up the wires incorrectly. Ever since then, the brushed motor would run in reverse. In brushless mode, the motor would run forward but would stop once in a while and won't start until I manually turn the rotor of the motor.

I have made sure the hall sensor wires was plugged in and all wires in the plug was fine.

The problem is not only in brushless mode. In brushed mode, the motor would run in reverse when hooked up according to the manual.

Before I hooked up the wires incorrectly, everything was working fine. So I think I might have screwed up the ESC when I switched the A and C wires when hooking up the brushless motor.

Anyone have experience with that? I have a 3 days trophie race coming up on friday, so I need to figure this out asap. If the ESC is broken, then I would need to order a new one ASAP.

If anyone could help, it's GREATLY apprecaited!!

I installed my new sphere comp in my zx-5 saturday. I was using a novak 6.5 motor. I made about 6 laps when my car slowed down and the speed control burst into flames. Is this what is referred to as thermal shutdown?

I can only guess that this was a fluke, since everyone else around here using that controller has only had good luck.
