@azmio: I used to live at Pfaeffikerstrasse, you probably know the Renault car dealer there (which was my father...).
I'll get back to your mail from yesterday asap.

@Stealth: I don't understand your problem completely. Sorry.
Does it shutdown towards the end of the run of the first pack or is this happening after several packs?
Which motor and which gearing do you use?
Are you completely sure it's not a Spektrum shutdown?

Hello Burito . I have a different question . Can I use Sphere with a 4-star brushless motor on my boat ? Is it create a problem ? Also what is the difference between Sphere and Sphere Competition ? Thanks

With good cooling the 4-Star may work with the normal Sphere, but you'll definitely require a cooling fan and there's no guarantee it won't go into thermal shutdown. Sorry

Detailed differences between the Sphere and the Sphere Competition are visible on our website www.lrp-electronic.de
- different fet's
- different PCB
- different components
- different software
- different controller
...

burito - Many thanks for the reply. Actually, the problem happens towards the end of my first battery pack on my Associated T4. I have had no problems with 5 minute races...but I can't seem to finish practicing through a whole pack without the shutdown occurring (again, towards the end of my run).

At first I thought maybe the voltage on my pack got too low and it was that which caused some kind of automatic shutdown.... But when I tried using another full battery pack right after my run I have steering but only intermittent throttle control?! The Sphere ESC lights only flicker?! Only after about 10 minutes do I get back my throttle control?! It seems like symptoms of a thermal shutdown and the ESC just needs too cool-off but when I checked both my Sphere ESC and Motor (3* Neo-One) neither are very hot and if anything only warm?!

Again, I know I am not over-geared (87T Stock Spur with a 16T Pinion). I should be getting the cooling set in the mail by this weekend and only need the Cap since I already have a Much-More fan installed in my kit facing the Sphere ESC. Also, I doubt it is a Spektrum problem as I have already installed the Spektrum Cap to my transceiver and none of my other kits (B4, BJ4, etc.) have this problem... all use Spektrum gear with Novak Brushless Systems.

Well, if you have any tips, suggestions, or recommendations I definitely would appreciate it. Thanks again for your time!

I have a LRP sphere/Neo 1 system with two motors a 1* and a 3*
We are having difficulty with the motors, the 3* works just fine once itgets moving but once it stops or goes into reverse it takes a spin of the armature to get it going again.
The 1* starts normally but it makes horrible sounding noises that sound like an "ack, ack"

Any Ideas?

For Burito:

How many drivers run with the Sphere+vector in the Ifmar Warm-up in Torino ???

What´s the ratio that they used ??

Team Orion win again with the V2 motors, they have big drivers I know .

Hello All, just returned from the Pre-Worlds Italy last night. We spent 2 extra days after the race for testing, unfortunately Monday was washed out with heavy rain...

It was a fantastic race for us, our new teamdriver Ronald Voelker did great in his first race with his LRP Brushless powered Cyclone.
It worked extremely well and he qualified 5th. He could have been 2nd with some more luck and a better heat, but we were very happy with the result anyway.
Other drivers/spectators were very impressed by the power/speed of our brushless system. Ronald clearly had the fastest car!

@mmgteam: entire team ran brushless, we had people like Ronald Voelker, Juho Levänen, Jonas Kaerup, Christer Andersson, Andy Kraemer, etc using it. Only Ronald made it into the Top10 tough, but it was certainly not the systems fault that others didn't make it.
We ran a ratio of 9.1:1 with 4-Star and 9.6:1 with prototype 5-Star motors, we used power-profile #5 and brake settings on #2.

Ronald Voelker managed the third fastest run in the qualifying.

Only 2 sec behind Rheinard.

I found this information on novak brushless thread:
Novak Brushless:
3.5R (3.5 turns?) [rumored, not yet available]
4.5R (4.5 turns)
5.5R (5.5 turns)
6.5R (6.5 turns)
7.5R (7.5 turns)
5800 (8.5 turns)
4300 (10.5 turns)

Reedy Brushless:
5-Star (4.5 turns?) [rumored, not yet available]
4-Star (5.5 turns)
3-Star (6.5 turns)
2-Star (7.5 turns)
1-Star (8.5 turns)

If this is true, than currently available 4star motor is slower than novak’s currently available 4.5R brushless??

Hi!

For burito (you have a PM but I have seen that don't like ):

The last week I was training with my 1/12 powered by matrix evo. and 4-stars motor in a very big track (asphalt) and I have a problem..

When I full-throttle the ESC it makes things rare during one moment (like if I have interferences) and later it returns to normal operation. I can solve the problem with a minipack at reciver (5 cell- 6v).

It's this normal in large tracks (roll-out:31mm)??
It's possible that the power capacitor is broken??

Greetings!!

@janisk: that winding information is correct, we don't make a secret about the winds anylonger.
Well, it's not all about the number of turns! Our 4-Star (5.5t) is damn fast already...

@caza: so you say that it normally works fine and that it's only a small problem when you hit full throttle. Right?
A receiver pack (5 cells) is recommended for 1/12 use, but some drivers ran it with no problem at the euro's with no receiver pack. It just doesn't work flawlessly with all receivers when no receiver pack is used.
Which power profile do you use? I'd recommend #3 for 1/12.
