I don't know the ROAR official involved, but yes, Jeff Cuffs was the racer who couldn't run 17.5

Interesting note in regards to the current discussion:

I know that VTA is considered a "exhibition class" but one would think that the same rule applies.
The person that won last years Asphalt Nats, is currently in 9th place at this years.

The reason for asking, I'm wondering if the same officials are at this race....

I think the stock winner rule should be applied regardless of surface. No offense to anyone and some can argue that stock is the toughest class and congrats to those that do well.

Off road just had stock nats and defending world champ was running... what say you about that?

While I'm at it....I think the whole chassis sponsered stock guy thing needs tweaking... I don't know for sure but can someone in stock have a full ride with ESC/motor/ batt? I would think to have the support of electronics and motor team guys, would help out WAY more than chassis...

Then again I am just a Fanboy but do have some thoughts from time to time..

The "stock nats" you are referring to is not a ROAR race..it is a big club race that was called the Stock Nationals.

If you are referring to me you are wrong. The Blitz TSX bodies that Fernando and I have didn't have the # molded into the front windshield as they were preproduction. Fernando was DQ'd from round one due to both of our oversight about the #. I didn't have my TSX on the car as I was running a PF LTCR of Fernando's that I also used at the ROAR Carpet Nats. I wanted to try it before I finished mounting more bodies to see how my car handled. That's why the silver body in round 1 and the fl. yellow in round 2 as Fernando needed to run the silver one himself.

I assume this was directed at me. Next time, just ask me about it rather than giving ROAR or the event a black eye for something that didn't happen. These Internet rumors and misinformation is what hurts these events and attendance. We need to stop destroying these events and finding every reason possible to complain.

It's been a great event so far and its been awesome to see the weather hold out!! Tomorrow should have some great racing!!

Josh, you are right. I should have asked.

Sorry for this. I did not ask because I thought it made no difference. I have done this long enough to know that a body is not goin to make a difference.

My point is more to the lack of familiarity of the ROAR guys and rule book. I should have gone another way with it. So I apologize once again.

I think it's a bad rule to begin with a guy should be allowed to run stock if he has already won a national title or not, the competition level is so high if that person is able to dominate and win it every year then more power to him
