Hey gee maybe its cause roar is spineless and continues to screw racers over.. maybe Knapp is running shurspeed stuff which would be a special circumstance ... maybe to busy making everyone buy new stuff to enforce the rules ... maybe we should just all vote Ernie in charge, at least you know what your getting with him and he's man enough to tell you your getting screwed to your face rather than hide behind a book or desk like the joke we have now

"12.2.9 Any Stock National Champion may not compete in any ROAR stock National class for a period of 5 years. Vehicle genre discipline specific. For example, off road stock buggy national champ may not run off road stock truck but he/she may participate in on road stock nationals the next year."

So Knapp cannot run stock TC... He might as well run a 3.5 too...

Well here is where it gets interesting... Per the written rule, he is not allowed to run TC Stock or 1/12th Stock, that is clear from the example given, when they compared Stock Buggy and Stock Truck. But is carpet the same as on-road? Or could one consider that these are different "Vehicle genre discipline specific"?

It is clear that the off-road is the same indoor as outdoor. In both venues the race occurs on dirt, unlike on-road, which occurs on carpet and asphalt. Or do you define that "Vehicle genre discipline specific" is based on the vehicle used?

If based on surface type, then he is eligible to run TC Stock on asphalt.

Based on the way the rule is written above, both sides could be argued...

Same issue came up at the carpet nats this year. The 2011 asphalt nats 17.5tc winner was not allowed to run 17.5 tc at the carpet nats this year

True, combined with roars lack of a decision or an explanation and here we are lol... makes you appreciate races like the snowbirds even more. that's probably why they get more than 12-14 guys for a world wide class like 1/12th

Well... It seem we have a "precedent".

So are you are talking about Jeff Cuffs?

Only racers from the USA and Canada are allowed to participate at the ROAR Nationals.

You care to share name(s) of the ROAR official(s) that made this call? I can understand if you would not want to post it here....
