Tim I think it was a great idea to have a club race on Thursday 5-2 and I hope you still do. Practice is ok but we are there to race. For the racers up north we have't raced on asphalt since last September. New car and I want as much racing as possible. I am not spending $2000 to practice. Keep up the good work. Can you send out a schedule of track hours starting on 4-28.

Thanks
Fred

I have to agree with Rick, once the event starts, charging extra to practice is not a good thing.
I also know in our contracts with Roar,2011 asphalt nats at Jackson, and the most recent carpet nats at Horsham, the track is basically Roars once the event starts. So it's there deal.
Some of us here are trying to get down there for the nats. From what I here it's a great place and Tim and the crew do a great job.
Ok, I understand what you guys are saying. Let's rephrase this to make it simple. Thursday night Race/Practice will be free. If you would like to have Pizza and drinks the cost is $10.00. If you don't want it, that's cool. Does that work?

Fred,

I am working with ROAR on the schedule, I hope to have it out in the next few days. I had a long discussion with a few people from ROAR last night, and the Club race is not looking good. Either way ..the track will be open at least to 8pm that night.

More to come.

Here is what I know.....

4/28 - Club Race - 11am -5pm
4/29-5/1 Track is closed to racing.
5/1 Facility is open for Setup and Initial Teching
5/2 Open/Controlled practice

My .02c: the way ROAR handled practice at the Carpet Nats was excellent. They were efficient in getting drivers on and off the stand when it was heavy turnout and when the turnout ebbed they allowed drivers to stay on the stand as long as they wished. Everyone received ample time to get their cars set up, and I for one heard no one complaining.

Initially, I was skeptical that this method would be effective, but I was wrong.

Some updated info.... I am working on 2, not 1, but 2 different Karting excursions.

The first is for the early arrivals... Wednesday night... PBIR. These are SERIOUS Rotax karts... Depending on how many people attend, we can do a race as well.
http://www.mrpmotorsport.com/pbir/in...t-Rentals.html

The second will be at K1 Speed Karting .. I need 8 confirmations, and we can do two different packages...
$49 You will get a 14 Lap Qualifier and 16 Lap Main.
$60 You get 12 Laps practice, 14 Lap qualifier and a 16Lap main...

Thursday night 8:30 PM to 10:PM

Get your RACE on !

Thanks
