Looking for new 13.5T motor for Blinky 1/10-touring ? Any motor-comparisons ?
 

Looking for new 13.5T motor for Blinky 1/10-touring, thank you :

Starting to run 1/10 touring Xray T3`12 , with Blinky 13.5T and rubber(Europe). (Using SP Reventon Pro.)

Looking for the best/fastest motor, as everybody,
so would appreciate some help without having to do all the research myself as as total beginner in this class.
(Been driving mod-1/10-buggy, so motor-strenght never been an issue)
Tried to do some search, found something that a driver went from LRP X12 to D3.5 Maxilla , and suddenly got competetive etc.
So feel is worth finding out more about different motors.
Racers experience and scientific facts, please!


Our tracks about 150-200 square meters.(1m is about 3feet, so about a 60feet straight)

Ok!
Now running a low priced 13.5T Turnigy Trackstar 3040kv.
Max Current: 36A. Max Watts: 255w.

Looking at the Trinity 13.5T D3.5 Maxilla is 4600kv,
huge kv-difference, wow!
Watts etc ?

Thunder Power 13.5T is popular at my lokal track,
kv, watts etc ?

And what about Shuurspeed 13.5,
kv , watts ?


How to measure these motors against each other, I really don`t know what to look for:
kv,
watts,
efficiency ???
(Not much info on Amain)

Anybody compared some of these i Blinky 13.5T-touring ?
Some other motors that I should consider ?

Running Turnegy Trackstar 13.5 silver can 3040kv now,
looking for faster rounds on carpet track about 30 by 60feet ?

And ca what gearing in XRAY T3`12 (internal gearing 1:9 ) Spur 84T 48pitch.

I don't have any technical data but I have a D3.5 I've run indoor blinky a handful of times and it's pretty awesome. One thing that stands out is it's ability to stay cool. It sounds like your track is pretty small by my math. With that said, you're probably going to be geared pretty low to match your competitors acceleration. I think gearing low will put the motor in the upper RPM range more which translates to more heat, something the D3.5 handles very well.
