Default Hong Kong

There are two in Hong Kong that I know of. They are in Chinese, but I still buy them occasionally.

RC Man (more glossy and higher quality) They don't have a webpage.

RC Models (yes the same as the online store) RC Models includes a VCD if you buy it from Circle K. Their webpage is: http://www.rcmodel.com.hk/

I'm not sure now, but in the past at least there was one called in AUSTRALIA called:

Racing Lines

I come from Australia orginally.

Racing Lines is still going strong. I'm from the UK but lived in Australia for a while, Racing Lines is a much better magazine than the two UK ones.

Rob, I have some French mags a few years old around somewhere. Do you just want the names or perhaps copies?

What I hate about most of the mags (especially the USA ones) is the coincidence of big full page advertisement by the (usually) winner of some testing or comparison of some stuff right next to the comparison article.
This must be coincidence but it makes me think "bloody sell offs". Or in other words. I feel they insult my intelligence, which is easy to do.

You missed the following mags:

http://www.radioracecar.com/ UK
http://www.rcracer.com/ UK
http://www.rcuniverse.com/wildhobbie...TOKEN=49799152

http://www.rev-up.co.uk/ 1/5 mag

http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/ Slot cars not RC but interesting articles

I think Racing Lines it's one of the best RC magazines I've read!

wow some big props for racing lines in australia! personally i think racing lines covers more of the biginners stuff myself, but again, i only ever read it every now and then, and i might be wrong as i have seen some mtx3 coverage and some top end product coverage recently.

personally i also think racing lines kicks butt because the owner is always doing his best to push the hobby in oz, and always brings top drivers down under for races. (ie Hara and Surikarn).

regarding the comment someone made about awards being won, then a big advert i used to work in a magazine and this is quite common. the magazine would call up the ditributor and say, "hey dude you've won an award, by the way we are closing advert boking for this upcomming awards issue i'd like you to advertise as i think it would create great reach for your market and would be a excellent leveraging tool against the award...YADA YADA YADA" i used to take care of all this sort of crap in the mag i worked for.

the smarter person would suggest advertising in the upcomming issue and tie it in with a mutiple exposure campaign throughout the year also
