Default question about 19t

i have been running stock all my one road life which hasent been long but i am going to start running some 19t. i got two 19t motors, epic 19t outlaw (d6 can motor) and the reedy quad. both motors have been just cut and tuned with new brushes. however, when i dyno them on my orion motor dyno the numbers are much less then that of my stock motors. i dyno all my motors at 4V and i usually get around 11 amps and 10,000 rpm from my stocks but the 19t motors are only pulling 6.67amps with 8,500 rpm. did i get bad motors or do 19t motors just dyno that way?

the 19t have bearings so no load they will have less amps being drawn. it means nothing for no load amp draw. just run them and see. most 19t have alot of tourqe and not much rpm ala the reedy. not shure about the trinity

rue about the less draw but still 6.67 just seems low and the rpms are less, but i gess i really does just matter how they run on the track

Reedy quad mag just doesn't rev very high. Free rev Amp draw isn't the way if you tell a motor is fast or not. You need a real dynot hat puts a load on the motor, then you see TRUE power numbers.

Exactly as above......for example:my best hand wound reedy quad 19 turn pulls less than 4 amps at 3 volts on a motor checker type device like an indi dyno.......it means nothing at all

The only way true way to test a motor is on the track
