Around here its $15....

I hate the logic behind race & practice fees.....$15 for a race and a few bucks for practice. You get more track time in practice!

Practicing at my local tracks range from $10-20 for a day's practice. Racing is around $15 to enter as well.

I feel race-fees at a permanent track is stupid (from my POV, its a good way to make cash from the hobby shop's prespective). Instead of comming to the "race" when you schedule it, just come with everyone when you all feel like it and run!
I guess someone just gave the place to the owners and siad hey! I wont charge you rent so you dont have to charge to race OK !!!!

Blackkat I am sorry but your post is STUPID. and making cash is the way of the world son

Your STUPID for not looking at it thorugh my point of view.

Instead of comming when they schedule a race, just come with a group of guys, pay the practice fee and run your own "race"

I'll admit...Maybe I wasn't at my brightest when I wrote that post (I didn't quite convey the point/message I wanted to) But I don't take kindly to the flat-out incompetent calling me stupid

The reason it costs more to race is that people will pay more to race.

Around here its about $15 to race, and $8 to practice, I think. But thats canadian dollars so entry is like 50 cents.

Sure you have a great idea (not), keep finding ways to cheat your local hobby shop/race track and see how long they are around. Support your local track or you wont have it anymore!

track membership $50/year, unlimited practice, $13.50 to race. It's an awesome track. The lighting is second to none.

At our track its 100% owned and operated by members. We have had ups and downs but this is our current price stucture:

MEMBERS: 50$ a month all u can race/practice.
Non members: 25 race 20 practice

Our only means of revenue is race/pracitce fees and canteen fees. No other income comes to us(3 hobby shops sponsor the club with donations and prizes)
