Default RC-Mushroom.com

Hi Guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this however yesterday I placed an order on RC-Mushroom.com. I've never ordered there before. Checked my email this morning and have received this. Seems doggy. Has anyone ordered off them before and filled out this form?

I once did that like 2-3 years ago, didn't have any problems.

I just use Paypal for all of these transactions.

It is one way to protect themselves from c/c fraud.

You might just wish to see if they will accept Paypal payment instead.

It's also one way to ensure you become victim!

Rcmushroom has been great to me for 5+ years.

I wouldn't send any of that to them though. If you used PayPal would you still have this come up?

They tried that with me. I told them they aren't getting a copy of my id ant that they can check my addresswith paypal and if that wasnt good enough that they can cancel the entire order, they also asked for my ss number. Got an email the next day that the order had been shipped, not a problem since.

I have ordered online for ever, when people ask that, then i simply cancel and order somewhere else. Not giving my personal info in a email like that EVER.

Plenty of other places to order from, cancel and move on.

I don't like giving out info either, so I always pay through PayPal if the issue arises.
RC Mushroom, Hobby King and if I recall correctly even RC Mart all require additional proof if you pay by credit card. A lot of scammers out there.

Because I live in Shanghai I HAVE to send them that info just to do business with RCmart and RC-Mushroom. It is a one time thing if you stay at your current address.

I see no harm in it as hobby shop mail order workers will never get past the Capitol One fraud protection. Hell, those guys block me every time I try to use my card here.

I can see how you have reservations as you don't understand the culture or system over here. But keep using the general rule of, if it doesn't feel good to you, don't do it.
