Unfortunately, the C/F conversion is not an Alex Racing design, but a CE (Club Enthuse or something like that ) prototype, although the stinger could really lend itself to a c/f tub chassis in the future, with a one piece lower rear bulkheads/motor mount with upper bulkhaed mounts to complete it all off, just change the running gear and lower bulkhead mount to change from shaft to belt........ where's my cad package, gotta get this idea on paper

I hope this setup will allow more throw with this steering rack than the R3 did.

Does anyone have any news on how the testing is going with the Stinger?

Hmm, would of thought they'd make a few changes before putting it on the website.

I still like some parts enough to make me want one The center of the car looks very smart.

From the top down view you can see there's not enough room for 7 cell slots so no forwards/backward cell placement but what I'd like to see is a removable cell tray that you can turn around. Then you could get forward and backward cell placement by about 1/2 a cell. There would be less shorting chance too, may need two trays though, one for 3300's and one for 3800's.

If Alex Racing are reading this- GET RID OF THOSE SHOCK CAPS! Use the nice Yokomo bladder ones

From what I can see from that page, the pictures are only prototype, modification could be made whenthe production model hit the shelf.

Wonder what the exact release date is?

Hehe ... Just confirmed and also translated the wording, that was next to the picture on Alex website, from Japanese to English ... in few words it says "prototype that was displayed at Shizuoka Hobby Show and modifications to final kit still very possible"

That car is going to be pretty stiff in my opinion. even though theres no top deck.....

The motor mount spans across the whole car.
That center stiffner that forks near the steering rack looks prettt beffy and the fact the motor mount, mounts onto the outer 2nd deck should hold that thing together REAL tight.

Going to have to be careful when taking the battery out as not to short out on the carbon...
