The trouble is, there is only parking on the street during the week
Local businesses, and church are not open to sharing

Even on weekends, Tamiya are best to not push things too far

If a system were used to bus racers in and out each day (expensive), perhaps something could be worked out, or so I'm led to believe...

That track is also in a pricy neighborhood and at the past Reedy events that I've been to the parking and the noise was an issue for the neighbors, but that was in 04 & 05.

Parking is the main problem. But some don't realize that the land that the track is on is for sale. It would not be prudent to schedule an IFMAR race at a location that might not be there when the race rolls around.

They just hosted the ROAR Paved On Road Nats. Superb racing surface, high grip and low tire wear. It was one of the best ROAR Paved Nats in a long time. Super nice area to visit.

http://www.fullthrottlercraceway.com/

It hosted the 2004 IFMAR 1/12 and ISTC Worlds (Was under different mgmt. then)

Its a big nitro track with layout options to make the racing distance sane for electric cars, Beautiful facility. Kissimmee is near all the central FL attractions like Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World, etc...

Both have great teams that would do a great job hosting a world class race.

The only issue I see is that Full Throttle hosted the Worlds last time it was in the US and I'm not sure IFMAR would go for racing in the same venue twice.

Village raceway would get my vote. The high grip with hardly any tire wear is awesome. I couldn't believe I used the same VTA tires all weekend for the Nationals. I probably could of done it for WGT also. It was also a Great place and neighborhood

Thanks Adrian, Both tracks look great and I'm hoping to participate if there is an opening spot.

Awesome news! Props to both Florida tracks for putting in the bids, and congrats to Full Throttle.

It is a shame that the Village crew were responsible for getting the Worlds back in play and then they are not awarded the race. I don't know much about Full Throttle. What big electric races have they run?

+1 I agree Rick.

However, it is good to have the Worlds back in the USA.

State series races and 2 regionals and the World several years ago. We ran a state race there yesterday.

Rick, that sounds reasonable, but guess since standard procedure was followed of submitting a bid with a chance to be awarded the race, it seems that the winner was more suitable for the event.
I had attended the 2004 IFMAR worlds at the same track, although I understand under different ownership, and the race was pretty good. Both 1/12 and TC were held on asphalt on different layouts.
In any case it is great news and it might be worth doing the long trip all the way from Europe as a privateer.
