cyclone,jrxs,yokomoBD,FK05?????

which car???????????????????????????????????????????

kmorast 04-28-2005 04:21 AM

There all good cars, I personally run the Yokomo BD. It's a great car and the parts aren't very expensive.

OK I'm slightly biased but the Xray FK05 really is the best car I have ever driven. Easy to work on and really strong (the wooden pole I hit at the end of the straight on sunday will agree with me) Very tuneable - it's already won on carpet and is very strong on tarmac too.

I also hear good things about the Yokomo BD but cant comment as I havent owned one.

Not so sure about the JRXS though.......mmm

be sure you can get parts easily for the car you choose. Waiting a few weeks for parts to come in from an online order is no fun.

I can speak for the xray as i have an older version. The thing i really like about it is that i dont have to buy extra parts to get the kickup/antisquat/antidive whatever, that i want. just adjust some screws and im there. The car is pretty much fully hopped up out of the box.

xray all the way, it's hard to go past hudy for anything really

I agree this year of touring cars is almost revoltuionary.

No one here has driven a cyclone so no point of asking about the cyclone just yet. But the pro4 05' edition looks like a well anticipated car for hpi fans.

You cannot possibly discuss the best belt drive cars out there without discussing the RDX...otherwise your list is way incomplete!!

sweet wasabi 04-28-2005 12:11 PM

RDX?

axel 04-28-2005 12:12 PM

Yeah the corraly rdx is an awesome car. But 've only seen one of those where i race. Very fast car.

Superkidracer82 04-28-2005 12:39 PM

axel 04-28-2005 12:47 PM

when i saw the jrx-s i noticed how WIDE it was. this car is very different than most cars of 2005. Any jrx-s drivers here notice anything unique do to the motor drivetrain layout?

wannabee 04-28-2005 01:04 PM

The JRXS is real smooth and real easy to drive. It feels alot like an RDX which is a bad a$$ car too.

JRXS for me, parts will be on the shelf, easy to work on, less expensive, the #1 reason: IT'S DIFFRENT THAN ALL THE OTHER 415 KNOCK OFFS!!

My $.02 worth, good luck!

yeah when i saw the jrx-s in person it was ridiculously smooth. I touched the belt without a pinion my finger literally "slipped".
